Sometimes campaigns would prefer to wait for donations to happen until the date of an event, or would like to "close the books" on a campaign or year-end accounting. 4giving gives you control over when you are accepting funds via a "switch" in your Dashboard Settings."

In the above image, the switch is 'On' as noted by the green circle positioned to the right. However, If this switch is toggled 'Off' potential donors will get the following message:

Please remember to turn the switch back on if you'd like to accept more funds. If you choose to leave the switch in the "off" position, consider redirecting potential donors to an active page via an explanation and link in the text of the retired donation page.
