Processing credit card transactions and securely supporting the 4giving mission costs money. From the beginning, 4giving set out to create a truly FREE fundraising platform - meaning we would not charge a fee to use the service. However, with emerging security threats and increasing maintenance fees, a 4giving Platform/Security fee for transactions over $100 is necessary.

Within your Dashboard, your campaign can now choose between two options:

Option 1: Tips set to "On". For transactions under $100, donors can leave 4giving Tips, but from the donation total. In this option, no 4giving Platform/Security fee is added for transactions under $100. However, Stripe charges Credit Card Fees of 2.9% + $0.30/transaction. Transactions over $100 will include a 5% platform/security fee. Donors have the option to cover these fees during their checkout process.

Option 2: Tips set to "Off" - Credit Card Fees along with a 4giving Platform/Security Fee of 5% will be included in all transactions. Donors have the option to cover these fees during their checkout process.
